It really stands out as a graphic. I think what I would critique is the word FORUMS because it's not easy to read at a larger scale. I would replace it with a different font to make it not so pixelated. You'll be top quality then!

I like the banner. The Gex icon is good, font is also good but I think a little more gothic elements on the right side of the banner would have been better.

Love the logo, it jumps out at you and it definitely fits Gex and the forum as well! I feel the text for the word forums being changed from the one in this thread to the one being used now on the forum looks a lot better and really does stand out and makes it more readable
