I just wanted to make a thread of the modding tools which the community has complied over the years. I was hoping to update this over the time, since it's a small modding community which spawned from this. Also, it's pretty great that the Soul Reaver community sort of set the foundation for us which made our job a lot easier.  I'm not sure if this would ever be active, but it would be nice to get a modding thread going.

I don't have any tools to add here, but I have a lot of experience making models for 90s consoles, such as the Jaguar, Saturn and N64. If anyone wants a modeller for their mod, feel free to PM me, I'd be happy to help out! :D

Well, there is a mod which isn't related to the series. But, I wanted to bring it up.  Someone made a Tony Hawks' Underground Pro, Gex mod a few years ago. It's just using a base model. But I thought it would be nice to share. If you're into Tony Hawks games, give it a shot.

That Gex 2 sound exporter looks potentially interesting. I hope one day a sound replacer turns up, or this project evolves into such.
Or alternately, someone figures out what format the .sag files are (in the PC port), and how to convert new sounds into that format.

It is interesting to me, because by comparison the Oddworld games in the 90s recieved localized dubs for most western Europe countries and Japan. So for many years, I kept wondering if its in the same way for Gex games beyond the US and UK voices, just being so obscure that they don't show up on YT (the Japanese dub was a big surprise when I learned it exists). This year I could roughly confirm trough archive.org uploads, that there are no European language dubs for Gex other than the lame UK voices.

I would like to experiment replacing Gex's voice clips with quotes from other comedians , in other languages. I have some ideas.

Also, that model exporter would have been very useful to me if it existed back in 2013, when I was making a papercraft doll of Gex.
