Do you have a capture card/device to record footage from old consoles?

I'm curious to see who else here has a capture device that allows you to record footage from real game hardware. I got a Elgato capture device for Christmas and I finally got around to setting it up the other day. I currently have my PS2 hooked up to my computer, last night I played a bit of Tomb Raider to celebrate the upcoming release of the remasters on Wednesday. :D I would play Gex 3, but my copy needs to be resurfaced or replaced since it's scratched badly and I am not even sure if my PS2 can read the disc anymore. :\ I also only own Gex Enter the Gecko on my N64 and I would have to hook that up instead if I want to record footage of it. I think I lost my copy of Gex 1... will have to see if I can find it sometime and play it.

I have been curious about getting one but never have.

For resurfacing your died, try the toothpaste trick first. It has worked for me in the past.

Coat the disc in tooth paste(not gel) and let it sit in the freezer for five minutes.  Take it out and rinse with warm water.  After all the tooth paste is cleared off use a cloth to dry it off.  This isn't guaranteed to work but it has fixed some games for me.
