There's a reason that's in quotation marks btw. This is something I keep seeing mainly on the Gex subreddit, people keep saying the Trilogy has been canceled since we haven't heard anything about it and they claim that the game is no longer being mentioned on Square Enix's and Crystal Dynamic's websites. However I truly believe it's not canceled and too many people are just being impatient about it. I definitely get that it sucks we haven't heard much about it since July, but that doesn't mean the trilogy has been canceled lol.

I don't think it is cancelled for the reason stated in one of those Reddit topics.

They just did a poll asking about which game the fans are excited to see this year.

Also  our friend RetroFuge just shared this on R/Gex -

Well that's good that it's not actually cancelled, I figured as much lol. I forgot they're remastering the first Clock Tower, I was only a fan of the third game in that series to be honest with you. Either way I'm glad they've at least acknowledged it, there probably hasn't been announcements of the other games they're remastering either.

We have to wait a little bit longer

I am too! :S It's already February, and we still haven't got any news about the trilogy.

I'm wondering, though, since it uses the carbon engine, I'm guessing it isn't using any of the PC ports? I wonder what versions it will emulate, and if they'll add some sort of save system instead of making us use passwords?

I have a feeling they'll be emulating the Playstation versions. I'm hoping they'll add a save function to the first game, Enter the Gecko and Deep Cover Gecko got rid of the password system and went with the save function.

Most likely this, but I hope for the first game they use the 3DO version. To my understanding the audio quality was better on it atleast.

Not to mention the 3DO port has a save feature. (I wasn't sure that was why you mentioned 3DO)
From what I've seen, 3DO is also higher res. Only thing is it's locked to 30fps, but if they're using emulation, I can imagine they can unlock it somehow.

Even better :).

The 3D0 version sounds like it's the definitive edition, would love to see it for sure but it's probably harder to emulate. I've always wanted  to see the Sega Saturn version of Mega Man 8 get added to collections because it's better than the PS1 version IMO but since it's hard to emulate the Saturn it never happened, I just ended up importing the Japanese version lol.
