Gex as a culture icon?

Do you think Gex could have had the capacity to carry on through the years as a cultural icon? People still make Gex fan art, this is true, but could you see Gex in the same vein as a Mario or a Sonic where there are figures, posters, accessories, themed gaming products and so on all made to emulate the Gex aesthetic?

I think if the remaster does well and we get a Gex 4.. he could definitely get put up there with Sonic,Crash, and Mario.

Honestly I hope he gets popular enough to be put into Super Smash Bros

Gex has the power to become a cultural icon. The only thing that stopped Gex was that they stopped making new games. They planned for Gex 4 but the project got shelved. If the remastered trilogy come out, I can see Gz becoming very popular among the Gen Z.

I think with the remaster that we are seeing being released, this could be what the franchise needs to push Gex up there. This could ultimately be met with Gex 4 as well which could then put Gex up there with the likes of Sonic and Mario.

I will admit, I am quite shocked that Gex is not up there with Sonic and Mario but I do feel the time is coming!

I really hope we'll get a new game after Gex Trilogy! Gex can definitely be up there with Sonic and Mario for sure! It'd be cool if IDW could make a comic book series. Gex isn't the only playable character in the series, Deep Cover Gecko introduced Cuz, Rex, and Alfred so they could add them to the comics if they ever did come out.

I hope there is a way to push the GEX 4 to a larger audience once the game is available. I would want to see GEX rank on the same level as Super Mario in terms of arts creation and all of those things. I am hyped about it and hope it happens.

Personally, I believe that everything and anything is possible with the right marketing strategy. Gex is a big title as far as I'm concerned and with the promotion for the new games, more people are going to get into the franchise. I have loved the game since the days of Gameboy. It's aged so well.

There are so many ways they can be able to push the game to all the world audience out there. They can't depend only on one channel. Every possible chanel where gamers can be found must be exploited in order to get better turn up.
